Water Security Planning – A Process Overview

For India, with 4% of the world’s water resources and 17% of its population, ensuring adequate water for everyone, everywhere, for every use and every time it is needed, is a challenge that, if not addressed, can destroy the lives and livelihoods of millions and kill the exciting India Growth story.

Gandhiji, the Father of our Nation, provides the inspiration for a paradigm shift that can help overcome this challenge. of ‘Swavalamban’ or ‘Dignity and Security through Self Sufficiency’ – is his gift to the nation. In Water too, Swavalamban, at each level, is what we need.

With this inspiration, FORCE conducted an online training session on ‘Water Security Planning – Process Review’ on Jan 20, 2021. The concept of Water Security and an overview of the FORCE 5 Steps to making your Water Security Plan was shared with all participants by President, FORCE – Jyoti Sharma.
